The global pandemic was interrupted in late 2020 by across-the-board interference interrupting many since-redirected research projects. Periodic and brief in nature, with a variance that matches no known stellar objects, scientists in many fields are racing to determine exactly what is this new phenomenon!
While most currently are behind the theory it's extraterrestrial in origin, others like Doctor Megan K. and her grad students are convinced there's a closer-to-home biological origin and a chemical solution.
